Breaking Walls, Building Bridges

Breaking Walls, Building Bridges

This reflection explores how individuals and communities overcome prejudice, self-doubt, and social barriers by embracing diversity, nurturing self-worth, and creating space for every human soul to rise equally.

Yes, I must carry a global outlook and prepare myself to embrace diversity.
How can I truly fit into a world shaped by different faiths, regions, and people?

Everywhere, I see people living together, yet often labeled as outsiders —
their identity judged simply by origin, faiths, customs, or ways of life.
Migration is natural — people settle across lands carrying their beliefs,
but true integration often remains incomplete, leaving invisible lines within society.

Building a society is slow, layered — demanding time, patience, and tolerance.
We must share festivals, sports, schools, dialogues & politics — offering space for all.
It takes conscious effort to shed superiority and open doors with grace.
Yet, many believe themselves entitled to decide who belongs and who is left out.

I believe that when people truly live together, understanding deepens.
They share their best — literature, customs, knowledge, science, and dreams.
It is human nature to show our finest, knowing we’re judged by what we present.
Still, daily life reveals our true selves, and others form lasting impressions.

Therefore, carrying ourselves well is wise, as society places us in categories.
Prejudices — shaped by past images — cloud fairness.
Society assigns us roles — flattering or diminishing.
Overcoming low perceptions requires hard work, courage, and dignity.

I read yesterday — healthy jealousy inspires both individuals and communities.
"When others can, why not we?" — a thought that pushes us to overcome weakness.
We must maintain courage, polish our image, and walk confidently.
Our manners must fascinate — never stoop, never accept being looked down upon.

Aim high, speak positively, and radiate dignity in every step.
Reject lowly status or mockery — prove your worth through action.
Break every barrier — confront, challenge, and rise with pride.
True, the powerful cling to seats, but we must claim our share of good things.

Reveal your strengths, and master the world around you.
Adapt, adjust, and shine — even in lands not your own.
Early settlers may not welcome you, but goodwill remains your best offering.
Suspicion and resistance exist — overcoming that shapes us.

Look closely — status is earned by belief and effort, not birth.
Weakness is accepted when we stop believing in our worth.
Reject defeat, stand tall, carry confidence,
yet remain open-hearted, courteous, and mindful of others.

The world is a sieve — a great leveler assigning place by merit.
Each of us holds unique elements — with destinies, strengths, and limits.
Our differences are real but must never divide our work or dreams.
Reputation is earned — through courage, planning, and action.

Give others confidence — never let inferiority take root in anyone.
As we seek respect and fairness, we must offer the same.
Making the world equal starts with small, positive gestures.
Those labeled lowly deserve dignity, rights, and their share of life’s blessings.

Respect grows from knowledge, power, and achievement — strive for all three.
Reputation is built by seizing opportunities and rising above setbacks.
Competition is fierce, failures many; friends or family may grow jealous.
Some may pull you down — but persistence, not approval, truly wins.

Success doesn’t come by chance — it belongs to those who prepare &  persevere.
Build skills, express yourself, connect, and embrace your strengths with pride.
Owning your virtues is a triumph — polish yourself until respect follows naturally.
Communities must rise the same way — earning their place through sincerity and effort.

Leaders must embrace all — this is how great societies grow.
Our ultimate aim is to create a world — free from prejudice, open to all,
where every soul finds acceptance, dignity, and space to rise.

In the end, our greatest legacy lies not in the power we gather,
but in the bridges we build — where every voice finds its place.

The Universe Within: Thinking Beyond Boundaries

The Universe Within: Thinking Beyond Boundaries

“As You Thinketh” is a timeless book attributed to James Allen that profoundly highlights the importance of thinking. It reminds us that our thoughts shape not just our character but also our actions and destinies. Idle or vague thinking is like drifting aimlessly; instead, our thoughts should lead us toward clarity, understanding, and self-betterment. Right thinking is the compass that directs our habits, performance, and results. It’s akin to the principles of management, where efficiency ensures tasks are done well, but effectiveness ensures tasks are done with purpose. Similarly, thinking rightly is the foundation of a meaningful life.

The Bhagavad Gita describes a beautiful chain: thoughts grow into actions, actions form habits, and habits create destiny. Our very existence and the world’s structures—laws, customs, rituals—are the offspring of thought.

The mind is the central command, sensing, processing, and directing our actions. If we master our thoughts, we can steer our lives toward fulfillment. Controlled thinking gives us stability, determination, and the courage to overcome fears. It brings clarity and connects us with our inner selves. Thinking, when elevated to meditation, transcends mere contemplation. It immerses us in the depths of our being, unveiling hidden truths and inner mysteries. Transcendental meditation goes further, stimulating awareness and confronting our weaknesses. It inspires action, awakens us, and pushes us to live purposefully rather than just exist. This practice is the first step toward truly becoming human—aware, active, and alive.

Through introspection, we glimpse the universe within. It is a vision beyond sight, a mirror reflecting our fears, strengths, courage, and areas of improvement. Life’s true conquests lie not in dominating others but in overcoming internal enemies like laziness, fear, ignorance, inefficiency, and doubt. These hidden roadblocks prevent us from achieving our higher goals. The dreams that scare us are often the ones that awaken us. They demand action, forcing us to step out of our comfort zones and into the unknown. This struggle, though daunting, enriches life with meaning. Success is not avoiding difficulty but facing it with resolve and spirit.

Life is fleeting, like water slipping through our fingers. To live is to grasp it consciously, with purpose and vitality. A conscious life embraces odds, seeks clarity, and thrives in self-enlightenment. It finds joy in the struggle, peace in movement, and fulfillment in the journey. Living consciously transcends desires and aligns us with inner truth. A life lived consciously has no room for regrets or forgotten goals. It rises above greed and indulgence, finding beauty in simplicity and joy in purpose. Such a life becomes a game—an exhilarating exploration of possibilities, always reaching for higher horizons and limitless growth.

Death, often feared as a dark unknown, loses its grip when illuminated by knowledge. True living lies in adding life to years, not years to life. By confronting internal fears and harmonizing with them, we transform death into a continuum of life. Death is unexplored territory, not an end but an invitation to enlightenment. When the dark zones within us are lit, death no longer holds fear. Life becomes a pursuit of understanding, of knowing as much as possible, and of embracing the unknown with courage and clarity.

On August 19, 2011, I purchased a Blackberry smartphone and connected with the world through the internet and social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook. This opened doors to the thoughts of great minds like Paulo Coelho, Robin Sharma, Nelson Mandela, Deepak Chopra, Shiv Khera, Richard Branson, and Richard Dawkins. Their concise wisdom, distilled into brief tweets or posts, became an ocean of knowledge for me, adding richness to my thoughts and life.

Currently, I am reading Richard Dawkins’ The God Delusion, a thought-provoking book that challenges traditional notions of divine creation. It emphasizes Darwin’s theory of evolution and encourages objective understanding rather than blind belief. Like Carl Sagan’s works, it urges us to question, experiment, and seek evidence rather than accept ideas on faith alone.

A scientific temperament transforms life. It moves beyond superstition, advocating for observation, experimentation, and deduction. It demands clarity of thought, a questioning spirit, and an unyielding pursuit of truth. To truly understand life, we must cultivate the right mindset that embraces learning, discovery, and self-realization. True knowledge arises from balance: a curious intellect, disciplined habits, meaningful action, and thoughtful rest. Surround yourself with uplifting company, inspiring books, and a stimulating environment. Exercise your body, refine behavior, and align vision with a purpose. This harmony of mind, body, and soul paves the way for a life of growth and fulfillment.

Life is not just the time we live but the depth we explore. It is a process of perpetual self-discovery, a struggle to illuminate the unknown, and a journey to harmonize with the universe. Living consciously, thinking deeply, and acting purposefully turn life into a masterpiece of endless possibilities. As we conquer our fears and embrace the vastness of existence, we realize that life’s true essence lies in growth, exploration, and enlightenment. To live is to transform, to love, and to thrive in the infinite dance of thought and action.

Nation Building

Nation Building

One must grab what he can, even when time is tight,
Other tasks demand great, yet the effort must ignite.
Self-composition is an art one must cultivate & hone,
To make the best of available, and stand on your own.

Time slips by swiftly, surely is beyond one’s control,
But can strive to compensate & make himself whole.
People are in holiday mood, wait for events to wind,
But work waits for none, but efficiency must be grind.

Man is a peculiar creature, only survives by his work,
Yet he shirks his duties & often loses valuable in hand.
Arrives at work late, takes breaks and leaves too soon,
Doing the bare minimum, never breaks his full bloom.

We do not sacrifice enough, just do merely to get by,
And fail to see the bigger picture of selves or even try.
Efficiency is prized, but we often fall short in the race,
Laziness holds us back often from fulfilling our place.

India is a growing nation, resourced with human might,
Vast in human resource, strong in body, sight and fight.
Still, the right perspective is what we all must develop,
For our great nation’s future, we must all rise & step up.

We can’t afford defeatism & inaction in this dear land,
Our duties are straight  - each one must take a stand.
There must be no useless excuses or games to play,
Now we must contribute to India’s growth every day.

I don’t want to blame anyone, but the reality is clear,
With just bit more effort, surely progress is only near.
It’s not about the resources or the lack of skill & time,
But must affirm choose to work, putting in the climb.

When more can be done with just a little extra push,
Just laziness & complacency must not make us rush.
We’re here for a greater purpose, to fulfil noble task,
Let’s rise to the challenge unitedly, & not simply ask.

Many small nations, few in number, wealth or size,
Have achieved great heights, & reached the skies.
It’s the synergy of Nation’s people, united in cause,
That breaks down all barriers, and rewrites the laws.

Learn that our minds & bodies are not just for own,
But for a bigger purpose, for the nation to be shown.
Nation-building is a duty, mission we must embrace,
We must act wisely and swiftly and work with grace.

As citizens, workers & officers, we must expedite,
Then planned tasks will accomplish & elevate fate.
The projects we engage in will support people grow,
Creating good citizens near, with the minds aglow.

We must guide our youth to target for the far sky,
Teach them to question, think scientifically, & to try.
By doing so, we definitely will build a nation proud,
And in the overall process, can raise all the crowd.

What ultimately is true progress, & how do we gain?
When our citizens are honest, and free from disdain.
As families care each other, compassion at the core,
Striving to better themselves, and those they adore.

Vices like greed, hate, anger, pride, lust must fade,
As we embrace superior virtues that’ll never trade.
When we aim to progress, with our hearts aligned,
A world turns of shared success, kindness defined.

Abundant poverty & struggle will soon pass away,
With hard work is in picture, dignity leads the way.
Work becomes a worship, valued, serene in its art,
And even our small contribution will play a big part.

A higher living standard for all must be our goal,
All citizens - rich or poor, must realize the whole.
If we remain backward, deprived of basic rights,
Progress will remain distant, far from our sights.

As people develop, they seek the higher ground,
In the courses they take, new opportunities found.
Through sincere efforts, we pave the road ahead,
Many will grow, and others will too follow instead.

We’re facilitators at present, but it is just a stage,
Our efforts will leave big legacies, for future age.
Feelings will live on, in hearts of those we touch,
For through our industry, the world will be much.

At times, work may seem just a home bill to pay,
But think of the struggles one took along the way.
Many are unemployed, seeking chances we hold,
We must value the opportunity, & future it unfolds.

Though frustration may arise, we must find peace,
And learn to manage emotions, let the rage cease.
Work even though it may feel like an ordinary task,
It will bring us forward, if we accept with no mask.

Admittedly beyond work, we all have lives to live,
Family, friends, relations, sports & dreams to give.
But it is not just routine, but imbues a greater plan,
For in pursuit of a grander purpose, we truly stand.

We need vacation times so as to relax & reflect,
On the very projects we do, & the lives we select.
Through brief breaks, we find the strength to rise,
And pursue grander purposes beyond the skies.

A wise man must strive for the higher ground,
He is to serve the world, with duties profound.
Through the blood and sweat, we must support,
The cause of the Cosmos, of which we’re part.

It’s not just the personal gains we usually seek,
But the future of humanity, and for every unique.
Our efforts must be honest, selfless, and true,
To build a benign future that will shine through.

Service to great nation brings a sense of pride,
As humanity grows,  we all stand side by side.
Through hard work, sincerity, sacrifice, and toil,
We can contribute to the soil, and help it uncoil.

The sweet taste of accomplishment will be ours,
As we labor for something that truly empowers.
The people will appreciate our efforts and care,
And our legacy will live on always, everywhere.

Picturing Self

 Picturing Self

Today is holiday – being Ram Navami, Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s birthday & Baishakhi. Millions of good people take inspiration & make their life’s goals to walk in the paths prescribed by the great persons. I was born somewhat 42 years ago in a small village in Sonepat District. I don’t know whether the Almighty had any scheme in his mind for my incarnation on this earth. I only know self a body of certain stature or skeleton with flesh & skin clad, and a bit sensation called ‘Prana’ infused. A body system keeps it alive by feeding, inhaling & exhaling, locomotion, etc., and a little mind to think which always remain engrossed - at times in essentials and often in unnecessary ignoble too. Almost half life is already spent, and not much is known to it. I don’t know my directions, goals, settings, internal programming of my manufacturing & tasks prescribed. I am just like a computing machine but with no operator in picture, hence almost not-operational or only a little bit is used. There is no use of this sturdily constituted inner machine if not powered & skillfully operated. I am quite numb as don’t know even what I am. Here either the builder or the operator knows who shall put it to use after checking configurations & loading necessary software, a necessary implant. So, a skilled operator is immediately required to avoid uselessness & obsoleteness too as then advance technology will come, and no one likes to work on an old model. Maybe the operator will not know the machine’s constitution & its working.

My writing-purpose here is to explore self in me, where I am hidden – what & where is that? The heart is not a centre of thinking, but is blood-pumping machine with chest-armor alround for its physical safety. It is only described so in the ancient poems. Yes, brain is definitely the centre of thinking, and also the source of realization. It is the master of neurons feeling the body-sensations & thoughts erupted due to reactions between neurons or due to their nature to remain active. Mind thinks necessary & also unnecessary also often when idle. Self-exploration means the concerted effort for unified realization or doing away the mind’s activities from unnecessary wonderings to a focused one. It means the mind-body discipline, and exploring the life’s pitfalls & rises, and analyzing reasons & setting the right future-activities. A man can explore his self’s life - if not full then up to certain extent, and can overcome limitations steadily. Life is great, and should be lived in a worthy way. One can set self in an intelligent class, and improve self’s image in own eyes & of outside world. One can overcome life’s difficulties & lead a life of possibilities, and can do away the negativities, and soothe the outside world. People can know & trust him as an honest, modest, humble, simple, a duty-bond, responsible, responsive & trustworthy learned fellow. He can influence ambiance with positive energy and feel its effects too. World is good often but man being perplexed in own problems, assumes it as troublesome which is wrong. Being self as bad does not mean that everybody is so. Similarly, one should not construe others as inferiors, rather in many cases, they are superior.

Even if I feel self as intelligent then the world is already there, and I am to live here being only the abode. So, leave the thought of the world – it is happy where it is as everyone is responsible towards self & that does not concern me. However, a true self-realization can free a bit of energy for others too. It is better to help people needing due to own reasons. Life’s first aim is to realize self, and then contribute to uplift others. It shall raise the mind’s level, and have a greater sense for self & others. Life is not only a breathing or body’s tasks-machine but much more, however, to learn that requires to go near, find a friend & solace in self. I can forget others & so-called their injustice & enhance my capacities for betterment. I can little bit anticipate the future course of things & possibly influence them by positive intervention for common good. I can stop blaming others, and find proximity with self & start truly respecting others. I can practically implement the best management practices into my working to bring positive results. I can generate a goodwill for self & others and call self a true human being. I can raise ignoble birth status into a learned entity, and positively transform of lives of common people by acts, help, moral support, concerns. I can positively change the people’ opinions for selves & others, and help developing some good citizens really imparting to the future world. I can understand my worth & others’ helps which I still ignore, and rather be truly obliged. I can leave indulging with people in ill-thinking due to illiteracy, physical conditions & wrong environments.

I need to anticipate poor self-esteem. Inappropriate behavior by somebody maybe the result of his / her own mental sickness which needs medication and not the rebuking. Others may need concerns; youngsters need love & not the bashings always. I owe great responsibility towards parents & siblings with whom I grew up. I must help them also, and my motivation / persuasions should pave their ways to knowledge, prosperity & good education. Help people to transform/shape lives & attain life’s unlimited opportunities and gain success. Lead them to go beyond body-limits, and realize some mindfulness in the life. Respect great people of community, and help many to be so. Find time to talk to people, and help them in sailing right paths and fighting odds - mostly self-created social ills. Do something to improve possibilities / opportunities & bring that into use.

I need to raise several questions in day-to-day life, and answer them by brain-storming. Life should be active & not-weeping. Think correct and strategize implementation by abdicating procrastination, being seen in many spheres of life. Make this Today great, take tasks into hand & accomplish. Learn from the process-follies, and resolve not to repeat. There are many unseen numerous wonderful paths. Life has a limited span & energy, but needs be lived fully. Don’t leave its single bit unlived. Fill every moment with greater life, and in all who come into your touch. Often pen down the ideas, and go as deep as possible. Enlighten self by continuing in this path. Mind is great & wonderful when trained in a purposeful channelized way. Speak mind often in pages along with pen. Speak to fellow beings, let them feel your good heart (if so) for them, and do every bit positively for the nation/organization. Be pleased with good intensions and don’t speak ill of others & rather find reasons, if possible, instead of rebuking. Become a forgiving fellow as men act out of their infatuations / habits, and don’t know the correct ways. Be a working fellow, and don’ much bother about others. Be the best worker and produce the excellent results. Behave well & learn from the superiors. Thank God for blessing good mind. Make goals, and do all to accomplish in time. Help superiors in deciding, and clear pendency. Manage things by dividing them into parts & work. Demand work from colleagues without hurting. They should keep good intensions in mind, do happily without feeling pressure taking it as their duty. Make LIFE to live intimately forever, and have intimacy with self & others. Train mind by concentration, and establish self as a good worker. Find more purposes of life more frequently.

Happy Childhood

Happy Childhood

Melodious voices of workers’ children enchant mind-soul

I long to catch that nice giggling, heard few just a before.

Elders are busy in day-chores, but children trace free time

They fill love in lives by their naughty-innocent sweet acts.

They do attract our attention, being real gems of the world

Being always active, very curious, and try something new.

At times we force silence, by quite severity & seriousness

Ignorant that they carry huge vigour in their little chirpings.

Maybe we’re unable to give full growth-environment to all

Penury & other reasons, keep many without schools even.

Crying of babies & toddlers, may trouble parents and others

But it is to draw attention, and crave comforting conditions.

They see big world with widened eyes, & get perplexed a lot

But we all were children once, carried many fears in hearts.

They are our parts, and will carry legacy to next generations

They need apt care and guidance, will only run future show.

We must prepare & train them, to face big challenges of life

Else they’ll remain weak prodigies, unable to sustain much.

Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi likes devote life for children

Began ‘Bachpan Bachao Andolan’ helping to exit hardships.

Provide good environment, wean forced labour-vulnerability

Facilitate them to good schools, bring overall life happiness.

Raising Levels

Raising Levels

In any society, there are always several difficulties due to economic backwardness & social disabilities for some persons. But these can be done away with determination, character, hard work, ability, adeptness, frugal way of life, good healthy habits, becoming evils-free, education, unity & respect for all, and making others understand your good points. Admittedly, path is difficult but a must for any society/community intending to progress with help of determined people. They need good citizens knowing distinction between worth & bad. There are many Non-Government Organizations for different objectives/ purposes for the children, women, disabled persons, etc. but not many organizations to help the depressed / downtrodden people. Admittedly, many good persons are sincere in removing the society’s evils & pursuing for right world where each has a balanced share. But in this market-oriented world, such people are very less in numbers. Hence, we require dedicated teams of persons towards the right goals. In the Sikh history, Guru Govind Singh Ji Maharaj had asked his father Guru Teg Bahadur to become Shaheed for people’s cause, and history becomes glorious.

In fact, when pious-hearted men explore good goals, dedicate & make sacrifices for changes in the right direction in near future, put their case in right perspective & convincing way, they get enough power to get implemented too, and the society will never remain backward. We need good-educated masses, enlightened people with faces shining with self-confidence. World is a race and one shouldn’t remain back, and should try to match with current trends. If we are to progress, we need certain discard certain rigidities prevalent around. We must concentrate on all individuals, help in making them full human beings. When society has powerful beings, nobody can suppress them. This is the philosophy of victory, self-realization & feeling near to oneness. Actually, one should not become weary of his class/ caste tag but take that in right perspective. If one is from some poor strata, he should try to come above. Although there are always some impediments but one must try to come over them. In Mahabharata epic, Karna overcame the several impediments inflicted on him by virtue of birth. Similarly, many persons from poor segments, depressed low-profile classes, came to the top by way of their sheer dedication & willingness to overcome their limitations.

There is a need to make education compulsory for all with emphasis on girls’ education with quality. Each should be dedicated towards the roles he has. Positively attitude mind-frame shall harmonize them with the general society. Some people are occupied with prejudices with fixed minds. Actually, we must find ways to remove hatred from lives. There may be little bit difficulty with them but that can be overcome. In general, human beings are generous & good-hearted, and if things are shown in right perspective, they will enough consider. But for that you require institutions to nurture where in first place people may come with deviations also. Speaking for rights is not bad when you do your duties sincerely & right. But who will judge your duty-performance? Good judges & international indicators can tell in what condition you lie. There is nothing to be afraid. You won’t lose anything except timidness by becoming bold. Live life fully. World is shrunk to a global village nowadays, and it is very difficult to remain the safest. The whole liberation program was and is for the common people only. People are power. They are given the voting power which they need to use sensibly, and there is nothing to be worried. Take calculated risks & concentrate on children’s education. Keep harmonious relations with neighbors & society’s good people. Sitting in feet of gurus is also not bad but find some true guru. Raise your incomes to live respectable lives lessening dependance on others.

With these words, I am closing.

Many congrats on the Bhim Birthday today of bountiful, fearless & correct pursuer of the right causes.

Benign Hopes

Benign Hopes

Look beyond immediate boundaries & what hides in future

What novelties are possible in it, by working on the present.

What is this possible world, can you also pursue something

People are busy day & night, and enliven their own designs.

But all not with noble intentions, some play crookedness too

If sagacious do not act, evil forces will do other way round.

Intelligent and aspirant people pursue theologies they prefer

They want to influence world as if they’re the most powerful.

Some thoughts they imbue, and do everything to spread them

We are the best writer, speaker, leader, thinker, teacher or so.

Everybody is busier in disseminating their own propagandas

Though works merely a little hard, not necessarily right also.

World is result of trials by the ambitious, but never is an ideal

Many maladies germinate as selfish try to goad all scenarios.

But some are well- wishers, vie for world’s genuine concerns

Admittedly are few & not all powerful, so play only a petty role.

Though try best hard to change lives as maximum as possible

But need to approach people, who aren’t adequately placed.

Who are present day’s leaders & how much they’ve influence

Some political systems seem ideal but are dissenting-internal.

May be few laws seem ideal, but they are like elephant’s tusks

Not much biting power, commoner’s life is not much benefited.

Good intentions and implementation bring smiles on poor faces

But poverty is like disease in society, though has many factors.

Mainly lack of equal opportunities, & people’s own pessimisms

Some light is seen at times, but poor has to cross many hurdles.

Those enabled to turn successful, certainly transform life styles

And slowly forget their pasts, now are with other level people.

They assume now own men as non-diligent & of average habits

Also of lacking higher pursuits & mismanaging their life-affairs.

Certainly for pleasant future, one needs consistent improvements

And see how others have improvised their lives over all periods.

Truly you’re brave, just make up minds & come out of drudgeries

Also dedicate selves in noble pursuits, & soothing others as well.

Arvind Adiga’s ‘The White Tiger’ weaves a person’s struggle tale

Though not using all fair means, but vies not remaining destitute.

The captivating hen’s coop is powerful, coming out not so smooth

But well resolved & consistent efforts, can convert one successful.

World is an album of all story types, positive ones open our sights

Able men with sheer zeal & hard work, develop beautiful gardens.

They first dream projects in minds, do while to convert into realities

And associate like-minded ones, it is more than one person’s job.

Seek good counsel of near stalwarts, imbibe high noble dreams

Look for benign shape world can take, and role you can perform.

Be a machinery in its aims, good revivals are merely a little away

Many small dots join to make up great, your efforts will not waste.

Look into own people’s conditions, & good hopes you can bring

You approach with big hearts, help in raising high expectations.

Small helps play great services, so aspire for world’s equanimity

Yes, scientific progress also comes, bring many positive changes.

Envision great hopes here, educate true pursuits to self & needy

Imbue high positive values, enable them to see own good future.
